I have always enjoyed conferences, as the opportunity to network and hear from industry leaders is priceless. I feed off of the energy of others and there is nothing better than being surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do. With so many conferences and seminars to choose from, I’ll be the first to tell you that it’s not easy to decide where to invest your money and time…
One organization that consistently puts on great conferences is The Art of Productions. I have been attending one their annual conferences, The Art of Marketing, for several years now and it is one of the BEST in Toronto. Luckily, they have another fantastic one coming up in Toronto on Tuesday June 5 called The Art of Leadership. This one day conference features six internationally renowned bestselling authors and visionaries, who will share real world experience on today’s most critical leadership issues. I’m looking forward to learning from these industry leaders and I hope to use the takeaways to improve on my leadership skills. If you decide to attend, please let me know! Perhaps we can have lunch? (That was the foodie in me talking!)…
This year’s speakers at The Art of Leadership include:
Marcus Buckingham
Vijay Govindarajan
Chester Elton
Susan Cain
Stephen Shapiro
Leonard Brody

This is an amazing contest! Why do I want to attend the Art of Leadership conference? Easy, I just believe that as a member of the new/incumbent work force, I think that attending a conference of this caliber will help prepare and train me to be the best leader possible. Also, I would love to hear some of the phenomenal speakers discuss topics that I am naturally drawn to.
Dear Sandy,
Man. I’ve gotta get in with The Art Of people, too — I’d totally write a blog post to get a ticket 😉 They deliver quality conferences!
But that’s neither here nor there. Hopefully I can win and see you there 🙂
So why do I want to attend The Art of Leadership?
After attending The Art of Marketing last year, I was filled with a powerful urge to start working on all the things I’d ever wanted to do as a project purposefully, cobbling ideas together that had once been loose fragments into coherent plans.
While I have yet to unlock the secrets to instant millions and how to spend every day doing exactly what I want to be doing with ever worrying about a dime, TAOM changed the way I thought about and approached ideas that I would have previously brushed aside.
Since then, I’ve read many of the books suggested at the conference and (perhaps in a related manner) taken up a managerial role at work, constantly seeking out the next push that will help me grow in my life.
As The Art of Marketing did for me in 2011, I’d love to see it happen again in 2012 with The Art of Leadership!

I want to attend TAOL because it would be a great opportunity to hear some inspirational speakers! I am in the middle of a career transition (I recently left my job) so it would be beneficial to hear from the best as I start this new path!
I am trying to become a better leader and am a fan of Vijay Govindarajan and Susan Cain!
thanks
